I have been thinking about this photo a lot. It's a beautiful testament to human civilization and our ability to reach for the stars. But the thing that I can't get over is that a *human being* took this photo. From a tin cylinder flying on the other side of the moon. A machine could have taken it and it would have still been cool. But man was there. And that makes it so much more evocative.
